Weekend with the Kids

Well we had an excellent time with the kids this weekend. They all behaved so well.
Lets start by saying this weekend is all about the dogs. Everything we did started and ended with Max and Eddie. Maybe Elizabeth you should get one. Haha!!

Who new watching dogs eat could be so fun!!!
We had a fun evening with the kids on friday. We had hotdogs with Uncle Jamie and Aunte Kristen. We then played with the dogs, got ready for bed. Played with the dogs and thn watched The Bee Movie. Then it was bed time. And to our surprise all the kids went down with no problems. Aiden and Michael even slept in the same bed.
In the morning the boys thought they would get up at 5:15am, but were promptly sent back to bed and slept till 7:00am. Kiera slept pretty good, she only woke 2 times at 11, 5. Candy settled her down really quick but unfortunately Uncle P dropped her when putting her back in the playpen. That got her a little upset as you can imagine.
In the morning we gave the kids some buckets we got for them. So the buckets became stingers. Why do boys have to take the most violent thing in a movie and remember and reinact. I never did that when I was a kid. Wink, wink.

I love this picture of Michael
After breakfast and a few poopy pants we went for a walk to the park with the dogs. Aiden was such a good ball thower for the dogs. I think he could of done that for hours. But to Aiden's shagrin, they could not.
Too Cute!!!
All the kids wanted to do on the way back from the park was walk Eddie. Its funny to watch kids getting dragged around by such a small dog.
After the park we played with the dogs some more then had lunch followed by nap and quiet time.
We then went to Pipers Lagoon for some sand castles and crab hunting. I must say that this was an experience I will not soon do again. Michael would not walk on the rocks for fear of the crabs pinching his little feet. He would walk so funny trying to avoid them. He started whining and such and soon got on uncle P's nerves. We filled the buckets with craps and then got a sand castle build and got out of there for the kids were getting pretty exhausted and grouchy. All in all we did have a good time and the kids enjoyed them selves. Sorry no picks, we forgot the camera.
We then came home played with the dogs and then had pizza for supper joined shortly buy Ancle J and Aunte K.
Bath time with Uncle J and Aunte K because Uncle P and Aunte C were tired and stressed.
Kiera doing her best jump for the dogs
Best buds!!!
We really enjoyed every minute of our time with the Faulkner Kids. They were so good and we had a great time together. We will not soon forget it and hopefully they won't either. Next we have the invasion of 6 kids and 4 adults. Should be interesting!!!
Love you all,
Uncle P and Aunte C

Post-Christmas

Happy New Year Everyone!
Christmas was wonderful here in Nanaimo. We had Christmas 3 times. One with the Faulkner's. It was such a fun watching all the kids open their presents. It gets more fun every year I think. Everyone kept saying how full it would have been if the McNeills would have been there too. (we wish they were there)

Christmas number two was Christmas Day. We woke up opened stockings . . . I actually opened 2 stockings. I got so carried away and opened my stocking and then moved on to opening Uncle Dale's stocking too. I felt so bad. We had yummy breakfast, more presents, snacks and naps followed by dinner and flying helicopters. We quickly ate dessert and hit the road to Victoria to pick up my parents. It was a sleepy drive to Victoria on full bellies and Christmas tunes. Luckily the weather was goof over the Malahat.

Christmas number three was on Boxing Day with my parents and sister Annie & Ryan. We had lasagne (a traditional un-Christmas meal) and opened gifts from each other. It was amazing what my parents fit in their luggage. We had a great time. My parents were her for a week and we all went to Belingham for some power after Christmas shopping as well as to ring on the new year. It was fun! Don't let Jamie say anything different - he got a new game to play, Memoir 44.
We have been learning Caylus too. It's a really fun game! Lots of rules, but FUN!

I had my last weekend at the Quilted Duck and am back to my part-time schedule which is a nice break. I am enjoying my slower schedule. It's a nice change.

We start our regular schedule this week. Actually tonight is our first night back at youth. It should be great!

Love you all,
Kristin (and Jamie too)

p.s. we are very excited and eagerly awaiting the news for MUNCH'S arrival! May I suggest January 20!!
